Baseball Recap: St. Michael Comes Up Short

St. Michael lost to French Settlement back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors lost 14-2 to the Lions.

St. Michael has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for French Settlement, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-12-1.

St. Michael and French Settlement should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. The Warriors will square off against McKinley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (116 vs. 330). Meanwhile, French Settlement (ranked 89th) will meet Independence (ranked 301st) at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
