Basketball Recap: East Ridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Irondale last Friday, East Ridge came back down to earth. The East Ridge Raptors received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 50-31 to the Stillwater Ponies. The match marked the Raptors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

East Ridge's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 17-8. As for Stillwater, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Ridge will square off against Forest Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Forest Lake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches. As for Stillwater, they will take on White Bear Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (White Bear Lake has won six straight at home, while Stillwater won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
