J.H. Rose dropped their record down to 26-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's 12-game streak of wins. They lost 14-4 to the Terry Sanford Bulldogs. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Rampants, who until this matchup were averaging 3.2 runs allowed.

J.H. Rose got a good showing from Aiden Coats, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Parker Watson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times he's played. Justin Grimes also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

As for Terry Sanford, they are on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 24 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games.

On Terry Sanford's side, Jonathan Pate spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Josh Mozingo was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Moore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
