Basketball Game Preview: Faith Academy Charter Patriots vs. Woodlawn Trailblazers

The Faith Academy Charter Patriots will head out on the road to take on the Woodlawn Trailblazers at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Academy Charter has given up an average of 58.5 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Faith Academy Charter ended up a good deal behind Providence Classical and lost 65-46. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Paladins 15-11 in the first quarter.

Faith Academy Charter might have lost, but man, Jelani King was a machine: he shot 45% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and five blocks. King is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Bennett Brinkley, who posted 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Woodlawn lost to Cornerstone Christian Academy at home by a 68-51 margin on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Trailblazers' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Woodlawn fell to 2-1. As for Faith Academy Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
