Baseball Recap: Paulsboro Comes Up Short

Paulsboro fell victim to Gateway Regional and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Gators. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Raiders have suffered against the Gators since May 7, 2019.

Paulsboro dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Gateway Regional, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Paulsboro will look to defend their home field on Monday against Salem at 11:00 a.m. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something the Red Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Gateway Regional, they have already played their next match, a 12-1 win against Bridgeton on the 18th.
