Basketball Game Preview: Fall Mountain Wildcats vs. Newport Tigers

Fall Mountain and Newport are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Fall Mountain Wildcats will take on the Newport Tigers in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fall Mountain can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Friday. They were beaten by Campbell 79-47. The Wildcats have struggled against Campbell recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Newport unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Kearsarge on Friday, falling 72-47.

Everything went Fall Mountain's way against Newport in their previous matchup back in January, as Fall Mountain made off with a 75-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fall Mountain since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
