Basketball Recap: Keyaun Mcmillian's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pleasant Valley over Clovis East

Pleasant Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Clovis East on Thursday. The Pleasant Valley Vikings came up short against the Clovis East Timberwolves, falling 57-32. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keyaun Mcmillian, who posted five points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Bensen, who put up two points and six rebounds.

Pleasant Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Clovis East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shasta at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Pleasant Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season. Clovis East will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Clovis North at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. One thing working in Clovis East's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
