Basketball Recap: Plainview Takes a Loss

Plainview lost against Lubbock back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Plainview Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to the Lubbock Westerners. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Westerners are ranked 285th).

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Lubbock, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

Plainview will head out to challenge Tascosa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tascosa will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Plainview surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lubbock, they will square off against Caprock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lubbock is facing Caprock at the right time seeing as Caprock is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
