Softball Recap: Cooper City Takes a Loss

Cooper City and South Plantation squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Cooper City had to settle for second. They came up short against the Paladins, falling 16-6. The Cowboys' loss continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Allison Eves was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Marina Recht, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Cooper City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for South Plantation, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-11.

Cooper City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Plantation, they will face off against West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
