With a playoff win on the line, Fruitport rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Montague Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Fruitport walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 23-25, 25-13.

Izabel Hanson-Wilbur paced Fruitport's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hanson-Wilbur got some help from Emma Fecher and her 16 assists. Regan Wilson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Jenna Woller and Reagan Cederquist certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Woller had 13 digs, while Cederquist had 21 digs, six kills, and two aces. With that strong performance, Cederquist is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Fruitport's victory bumped their record up to 31-13-1. As for Montague, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-31-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Fruitport nor Montague have any future games scheduled.
