Volleyball Recap: South County Comes Up Short

South County lost against Triopia/Virginia on September 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vipers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Vipers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While South County was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Jaden Stambaugh, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matchups.

South County now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Triopia/Virginia, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

South County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against North Greene on the 30th. As for Triopia/Virginia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Griggsville-Perry on the 2nd.
