After a string of seven wins, St. Peter's Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Kearny Kardinals by a score of 5-4. St. Peter's Prep were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Kearny earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

St. Peter's Prep's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 14-2-1. As for Kearny, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4-1.

St. Peter's Prep and Kearny should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings.
