Volleyball Recap: Clay's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Clay came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Southview Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Clay took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-7, 25-13.

Eme Goetz paced Clay's offense, picking up 17 kills. Goetz got some help from Hayden Rodriguez and her 46 assists. Audrey Vriezelaar controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Clay's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Southview, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Clay has already played their next game (against Jackson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Southview, they will take on Central Catholic at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
