Lakeland Christian had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They blew past the Lakeland Dreadnaughts, posting a 59-3 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 30 points or more this season.

Lakeland Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiya Boyce, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 12 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Boyce a new career-high in points. Kinley Blough also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Lakeland Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Lakeland Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.9 points per game. As for Lakeland, they dropped their record down to 0-18 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home.

Lakeland Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 39-36 loss against Davenport on the 24th. As for Lakeland, they will head out to face off against Haines City at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Haines City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Lakeland likes a good challenge.
