Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Comes Up Short

Hillsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chillicothe Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 on Monday.

Wesley Bailey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Chillicothe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will host North Adams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chillicothe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hilliard Bradley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
