Mart is a perfect 3-0 against Cumby since November of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will welcome the Trojans at 7:00 p.m.

Mart is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Goldthwaite just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 40-14 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Cumby got themselves on the board against Celeste on Friday, but Celeste never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 46-0 victory over the Blue Devils. Considering the Trojans have won four contests by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Cumby's win came down to the chemistry between Channing Herman and his top target Chayton Vaughan. Herman threw for 105 yards and three touchdowns on only six passes while Vaughan gained 116 total yards. Dakari Johnson helped Herman out on the ground, rushing for 70 yards and one TD.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Cumby proved: they limited Celeste to a paltry one yards per carry. The Trojans didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.3.

Cumby pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.5 points on average over those games. As for Mart, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Mart has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 226.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Cumby struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 233.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everything came up roses for Mart against Cumby in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 68-20 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
