Basketball Game Preview: Lakewood Cougars vs. Lynden Christian Lyncs

Lakewood hasn't had much luck against Lynden Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lakewood Cougars will welcome the Lynden Christian Lyncs at 7:15 p.m. Lakewood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, Lakewood made easy work of Mt. Baker and carried off a 65-39 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Emma Tocco went supernova for Lakewood, going 12 of 25 on her way to 31 points and four steals. Those 31 points gave Tocco a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Perez, who posted seven points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Lynden Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against Lynden, falling 60-35. The game marked the Lyncs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Lynden Christian's loss ended a 19-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3. As for Lakewood, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
