Basketball Game Preview: Spanish Fork Dons vs. Timpview Thunderbirds

The Spanish Fork Dons will challenge the Timpview Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spanish Fork is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Spanish Fork was beaten by Cedar Valley 81-50. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Aviators are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Timpview came up short against Salem Hills on Friday and fell 55-48.

Timpview has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Spanish Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Spanish Fork came up short against Timpview in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 39-35. Can Spanish Fork avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
