Volleyball Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pine Forest lost against Gray's Creek back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Bears.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-16.

Taylor Route paced Pine Forest's offense, picking up six kills. Route got some help from Aria Parish and her 13 assists. Finally, Route was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Gray's Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haylee Wells, who had eight digs and one assist.

Pine Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gray's Creek, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coincidentally, Pine Forest and Gray's Creek will both be playing Union Pines the next time they take the court. The Bears will head out to face the Vikings at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trojans will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
