With a new high school sports year fast approaching, we take a look back at the top photos from 2016-17 as captured by photographers who are members of the MaxPreps Professional Photographers' Network.

Photographers in the network submitted images for consideration from pro galleries on MaxPreps that were published between Aug. 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017.

Those submissions were pared down to the 20 best images of the year and are in no particular order.
