Volleyball Recap: Marie Philip Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Marie Philip lost against American School for the Deaf back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Galloping Ghosts lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The Galloping Ghosts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Marie Philip was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-13.

Kai Gabriel paced Marie Philip's offense, picking up eight kills. Gabriel really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Marie Philip's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for American School for the Deaf, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Coming up, Marie Philip will head out to take on Newman at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for American School for the Deaf, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lexington School for the Deaf on the 18th.
