Lake Highland Prep has gone a perfect 3-0 against Crooms Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Highlanders will face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lake Highland Prep took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Orangewood Christian. The win was some much needed relief for the Highlanders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Rhys Dellinger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Reilly Diebel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Crooms Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Circle Christian on Thursday. The Panthers skirted past the Centurions 11-9. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Aiden Marcialis was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-5. He has become a key player for Crooms Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Riveras, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Lake Highland Prep's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-14. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Crooms Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Lake Highland Prep took their win against Crooms Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 17-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
