Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Valley Christian's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Valley Christian owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against the Florence Gophers by a score of 4-0. The Trojans' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three matches.

The result came thanks to Taya Clausen's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Abrielle Jarles, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Makay Fraley, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Valley Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2-1 record this season.
