Baseball Recap: Farmersville Aztecs vs. Granite Hills Grizzlies
Farmersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Granite Hills Grizzlies. Farmersville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Granite Hills apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
For Granite Hills' part, Osvaldo Leon was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Diego Garay was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Farmersville's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Granite Hills, their win bumped their record up to 6-21-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farmersville will stay at home for another game and welcome Wonderful College Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Granite Hills will take on Strathmore at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Granite Hills is facing Strathmore at the right time seeing as Strathmore is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
