Basketball Game Preview: Channelview Falcons vs. Kingwood Mustangs

Channelview is 0-5 against Kingwood since December of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Channelview Falcons will square off against the Kingwood Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Channelview is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 59-24 loss at the hands of Humble. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1263rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 300th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-12, which was the final score in Kingwood's tilt against North Shore on Saturday. The matchup marked Kingwood's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Channelview's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Kingwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-16 record this season.

Channelview took a serious blow against Kingwood in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 63-25. Can Channelview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
