Baseball Game Preview: Brodhead/Juda Cardinals vs. Clinton Cougars

Brodhead/Juda and Clinton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Cardinals will head out to challenge the Cougars at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Brodhead/Juda came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-1 to Jefferson. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cardinals couldn't push the score so high this time.

Brodhead/Juda saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Bockhop, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Clinton came up short against Monroe on Friday and fell 8-5. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brodhead/Juda moved to 9-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Brodhead/Juda couldn't quite finish off Clinton when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
