Softball Recap: South Point Comes Up Short

South Point saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They fell just short of the South Columbus Stallions by a score of 14-13. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ella Gibson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Taylyn Ledford, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for South Columbus, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

South Point didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 victory against Cherryville on the 23rd. South Columbus has also already played their next matchup (against Whiteville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
