Volleyball Recap: Chaffey Takes a Loss

Chaffey lost against Ontario back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Jaguars.

Chaffey took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 25-22.

Chloe Romero paced Chaffey's offense, picking up five kills. Romero got some help from Bryce Argueta and her 14 assists. Kayla Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Chaffey has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Ontario, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chaffey will face off against rival Don Lugo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ontario is set to challenge their familiar foe Chino at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
