Basketball Recap: Oroville Finds Home Court Redemption Against Waterville

There's no place like home for Oroville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They managed a 43-38 victory over the Waterville Shockers on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Shockers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 47-36 loss.

Oroville's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8. As for Waterville, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-6 record.

Oroville and Waterville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Oroville (ranked 268th) will meet Moses Lake Christian Academy (ranked 104th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Waterville will take on Almira-Coulee-Hartline at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 184 places (238 vs. 54).
