Recap: Brazosport Christian Eagles vs. Family Christian Warriors
There's no place like home for the Brazosport Christian Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Family Christian 69-27 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Brazosport Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Brazosport Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Burris, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The game was Burris' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Catoe, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Brazosport Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Family Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brazosport Christian will take on Baytown Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Baytown Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Family Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Second Baptist University-Model at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
