Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Bountiful

Bountiful entered their tilt with Box Elder on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Bees. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 last Friday.

Corey Erickson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cash Stump was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Tanner Swanson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Bountiful's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Box Elder, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bountiful will square off against Northridge at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Box Elder, they will take on Roy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bees are facing the Royals at the right time seeing as the Royals are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
