Basketball Game Preview: West Chargers vs. De Soto Wildcats

The West Chargers will face off against the De Soto Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, everything went West's way against Leavenworth as West made off with a 69-46 win. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, De Soto lost 79-55 to Shawnee Heights on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now lost three in a row.

The victory made it two in a row for West and bumps their season record up to 8-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21.5 points. As for De Soto, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

West took their win against De Soto when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 66-44. Will West repeat their success, or does De Soto have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
