Basketball Recap: Brock Moody Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Cherokee Trail

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Arapahoe's strategy against Cherokee Trail on Thursday. The Arapahoe Warriors strolled past the Cherokee Trail Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 60-41. The Warriors have beaten the Cougars the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arapahoe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brock Moody, who posted 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Moody a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Ryan Pramenko was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Arapahoe was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cherokee Trail only nine assists.

Cherokee Trail lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jordan Mitchell, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Scott, who earned 11 points.

Arapahoe's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Cherokee Trail, they dropped their record down to 8-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Arapahoe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-52 win against Cherry Creek on the 22nd. As for Cherokee Trail, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 77-46 victory against Mullen on the 22nd.
