Soccer Recap: Mcintosh Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

On SaturdayAuburn kept up with McIntosh until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The McIntosh Chiefs' defense stepped up to hand the Auburn Tigers a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for McIntosh and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McIntosh will welcome Dutchtown at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Auburn will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bullock County at 6:00 p.m. on March 5th.
