Volleyball Recap: Point Pleasant Falls Short Against Ranked Warren

Point Pleasant is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Warren. The Big Blacks lost 3-0 to the Warriors. The Big Blacks haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-15.

Maci Taylor paced Point Pleasant's offense, picking up three kills. Taylor got some help from Abby Woodall and her three assists.

Mya Stemple was the offensive standout of the match as she had 23 assists and four digs. Stemple is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 22 every time she's taken the court this season.

Point Pleasant now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Warren, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Point Pleasant has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Man on the 30th. As for Warren, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against McClain on the 30th.
