Soccer Game Preview: Loyola Academy vs. Stevenson

The Loyola Academy Ramblers will challenge the Stevenson Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Loyola Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Glenbrook South just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result kept Loyola Academy happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 25th.

Meanwhile, Stevenson faced New Trier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Patriots fell just short of the Trevians by a score of 1-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Stevenson couldn't quite close it out.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stevenson fell to 4-1-1. Loyola Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-2.
