Volleyball Recap: Indian Springs Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Indian Springs took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Sunrise Mountain Miners. For the Thunderbirds, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Miners walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Indian Springs was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 18-25, 25-21.

Indian Springs had a senior duo take command as Minnie Giarla had 15 digs and two aces and Madison Sawyer had five digs and five aces. Another player making a difference was Kylee Muhn, who had five kills, five digs, and four aces.

Indian Springs was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Sunrise Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian Springs is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sunrise Mountain, they will take on Eldorado at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
