Soccer Game Preview: East Duplin vs. Pender + How To Watch

The East Duplin Panthers will take on the Pender Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

East Duplin managed to keep up with Clinton until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Panthers came up short against the Dark Horses, falling 3-0. East Duplin haven't had much luck with Clinton recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Pender had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They never let the Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Pender's winning goal came courtesy of Daniel Armijo.

Pender's victory bumped their record up to 9-10-2. As for East Duplin, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7-2.

East Duplin was able to grind out a solid win over Pender in their previous meeting on October 8th, winning 3-1. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
