Softball Game Preview: Carroll Eagles vs. Daleville Warhawks

Carroll is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Daleville a 14-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Carroll Eagles will be playing at home against the Daleville Warhawks at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Carroll fell just short of Montgomery Academy by a score of 9-8.

Saniya Jenkins stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Landrum, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Daleville fell victim to Dale County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Warriors.

Daleville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 12-17.

Everything went Carroll's way against Daleville in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as Carroll made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
