Soccer Recap: Grand Junction Central Takes a Loss

Grand Junction Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to the Montrose Red Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Montrose this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 last Thursday.

Grand Junction Central's goal came courtesy of Teresita Fuentes-Lopez, which was the first she's scored this season.

Grand Junction Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Montrose, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5-2.

Grand Junction Central didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 defeat against Montezuma-Cortez on the 30th. As for Montrose, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Crested Butte on the 2nd.
