While Mountainair's win against Carrizozo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs skirted past the Grizzlies 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since September 5th.

Mountainair was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (110-107), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-21, 27-25, 13-25, 27-29, 15-10.

The win made it two in a row for Mountainair and bumps their season record up to 7-10. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-6 Vaughn and 3-14 Carrizozo. As for Carrizozo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mountainair will face off against rival Alamo Navajo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carrizozo is set to take on their familiar foe Vaughn at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
