Soccer Recap: Pahokee Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Glades Central, Pahokee was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Moore Haven Terriers 2-1. The Blue Devils had to overcome some adversity as Adair Vazquez and Erick Rojo were both handed red cards.

Mathias Arrieta and Paulo Lugo scored both of Pahokee's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4-1. As for Moore Haven, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9-1.

Pahokee will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Fork at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Moore Haven will take on East Lee County in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
