Basketball Recap: Poland Gets the Win

Poland proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 20) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mountain Valley Falcons, sneaking past 43-40. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 66-44 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Poland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Mountain Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poland will head out to challenge North Yarmouth Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Poland is facing North Yarmouth Academy at the right time seeing as North Yarmouth Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Mountain Valley, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Mountain Valley Falcons challenge the Lincoln Academy Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
