Basketball Recap: Berwick Academy Skates Past Landmark with Ease

Berwick Academy won the last time they faced Landmark and things went their way on Monday too. The Berwick Academy Bulldogs took their contest with ease, bagging a 77-45 win over the Landmark Vikings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Leading Berwick Academy to victory were Noah Daniel and Brandon Ventura. Daniel went 14 of 26 on his way to 33 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds, while Ventura dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten boards. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Daniel has scored at least a third of Berwick Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Leggett, who posted eight points.

Berwick Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Landmark, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berwick Academy will host Lee Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Berwick Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Lee Academy likes a good challenge. Landmark has already played their next game (against Bancroft), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
