Basketball Recap: Greyson Boyd Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Ezekiel Academy

East Central HomeSchool won the last time they faced Ezekiel Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The East Central HomeSchool Patriots walked away with a 77-69 victory over the Ezekiel Academy Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

East Central HomeSchool's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Greyson Boyd, who went 15-for-34 to rack up 41 points and six boards. The game was Boyd's third in a row with at least 20 points. Knox Cooper was another key player, going 10-for-13 on his way to 22 points.

Ezekiel Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gerard Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elijah Taylor, who posted 18 points and five rebounds.

East Central HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Ezekiel Academy, their record is now 25-6.

East Central HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 101-65 loss against Evangel Christian on the 15th. Ezekiel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
