Baseball Recap: Southwestern Randolph Comes Up Short

Southwestern Randolph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eastern Randolph Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 last Tuesday.

Southwestern Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Eastern Randolph, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Southwestern Randolph will face off against rival Wheatmore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Eastern Randolph is set to square off against their familiar foe Uwharrie Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
