Basketball Recap: Juarez Eagles vs. Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers
Juarez gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers by a score of 31-21. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Several Golden Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ariana Bahena, who earned five points along with five rebounds and four steals. Bahena has been hot , having posted three or more steals the last eight times she's played. Tiffany Gaona was another key player, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.
Juarez wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 40-30 loss against Chicago Academy on the 20th. Noble Street College Prep has also already played their next game, a 28-20 victory against Cristo Rey Jesuit on the 19th.
