Basketball Recap: Ocosta's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Neah Bay, Ocosta was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Morton/White Pass Timberwolves, posting a 52-22 victory. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Timberwolves, too.

Ocosta found their leader in sophomore Sonny Beard, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 20 rebounds. Beard is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Logan White was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Ocosta's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Morton/White Pass, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Ocosta will be home for the holidays to greet Mary M. Knight at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morton/White Pass, they will head out on the road to square off against Kalama at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Timberwolves will need to watch out since the Chinooks have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
