League recap: Calvary Christian winning streak up to 10 games

Calvary Christian (26-5, 8-0) has won 10 games in a row, Citrus - West's longest active win streak. In the past week, the Lions won another two games, including a 10-3 victory over Horizon. Matt Hartman led the lineup this week with four hits and four RBIs.

The Lions currently sit at the top of the league with a mark of 26-5 overall and 8-0 in the league. Foothills Christian is three games back and in second place with a 5-3 league record.

Lutheran's pitching staff was best in the league in terms of hits allowed, with just three over the past week. For the entire year, the Knights have given up only 98 base hits.

The Knights' Zach Tomlin led the league with six hits this week. On the season, he's hitting .372 and ranks seventh in the league with 29 hits.

Matt Hartman had a multi-hit game on Tuesday, when he went 4-5 in Calvary Christian's 18-1 win against San Diego Jewish Academy. He rounded out his day with two runs batted in and four runs scored.



Zach Tomlin drove in four runners as Horizon defeated Foothills Christian 11-5 on Saturday.
