Football Recap: Westminster Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Westminster extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They took a blow against the Cambridge Bears, falling 46-14. The Wildcats lost against the Bears in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 42-36 score last time.

As for Cambridge, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Cambridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Langford, who threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes. Langford is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Craig Dandridge also helped out as he racked up 130 receiving yards.

Westminster didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-0 defeat against Kell on the 10th. As for Cambridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-7 win against Centennial on the 10th.
