Football Recap: Westminster Wildcats vs. Cambridge Bears
Westminster had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 46-14 loss at the hands of the Cambridge Bears. The Wildcats lost against the Bears in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 42-36 score last time.
As for Cambridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Cambridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Connor Langford led the charge by throwing for 250 yards and three touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes. Langford is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Brooks Malone was in the mix as well, providing Cambridge with two scores.
